Chien-Hui Haynes , pianist, bassoon performer, and music instructor, holds a diploma from Idyllwild Arts Academy, a Bachelor of Music degree from California State University, and a Masters of Music degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music. Chien-Hui was recruited from Taiwan at the young age of twelve to further her music education in the United States. She has been teaching and performing since 1989, working with many well-known conductors such as Zubin Mehta, Mehli Mehta, John Williams, and Seiji Ozawa. From 2000-2006, she instructed piano, bassoon, recorder, and music theory at The Children's Creative Art Center in Granite Bay, California. Mrs. Haynes, who instructed music theory at The Cleveland Music Settlement, includes both solo material and theory in her private music lessons. She instructs recorder and theory in both private and group lessons for the Four Oaks Homeschoolers Program, as well as private piano lessons.
